Ms. Sutapa Chattopadhyay

Ms. Shivani Dhomkar

She holds a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, where she consistently demonstrated strong academic performance, research aptitude, and a deep passion for scientific inquiry. During her postgraduate studies, she actively engaged in research projects that enhanced her analytical and technical skills, while also building expertise in presenting complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively. Ms. Pranjali Sohani

She has completed her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics from the Department of Physics, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), where she gained strong academic training in various branches of physics including quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, and computational methods. Following her postgraduate studies, she worked as a Physics educator for 3 years in reputed institutes across Pune. In this role, she focused on simplifying complex scientific concepts and developing engaging teaching practices that inspired students to develop a genuine interest in the subject.

Alongside her teaching career, she has actively conducted science workshops for school students, where she introduced practical experiments and interactive demonstrations to make science both fun and accessible. With a deep interest in astronomy, she integrates her passion for the subject into her outreach activities, using it as a tool to nurture curiosity and motivate students to explore science beyond the classroom. Her approach to education combines subject expertise with creativity, ensuring that learning is both meaningful and enjoyable for young learners.

Ms. Reshma Chandrashekhar Dedge

Ms. Reshma Chandrashekhar Dedge has completed her graduation in Commerce and post-graduation in MBA (Finance), which provided her with a strong foundation in finance, accounting, and administration. She has gained valuable experience in managing accounts, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth office operations with efficiency and accuracy. She is currently working at the Center for Science Education and Communication (CSEC), Savitribai Phule Pune University, as an Office Assistant . With over 5 years of experience in administration and accounting at Savitribai Phule Pune University, she plays a vital role in handling project-related financial documentation and supporting day-to-day institutional activities. Her dedication, reliability, and organizational skills make her an important part of the team.

Dr. Hemlata Kotkar

She is working as at the Department of Botany, Savitribai Phule Pune University since. She has obtained her doctoral degree in Biotechnology in from Science is a vast field with limitless craving to know more! My passion as a teacher drives me to communicate with young students, and people of different age groups interested to know the hidden secrets of life around us!! At CSEC, I like to reach out to the public using a ‘learn with fun’ concept.

Dr. Ganesh Kadu

Ganesh Kadu is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Savitribai Phule Pune University. His primary research interests focus on Algebra and its applications to other areas of Mathematics, including Geometry and Combinatorics. He is also interested in Mathematics education and promoting the importance of Mathematics at the school and college levels. To this end, he organizes workshops and activities for college and master’s students that highlight both the relevance and the fun of doing mathematics. One of these initiatives, which he works on with his colleagues Y. M. Borse and Smita Kandekar, is the celebration of National Mathematics Day (NMD) at the Department of Mathematics. In addition, He is actively involved with the Marathi Bhasha Vibhag of the Marathi Vishwakosh Mandal (गणित / सांख्यिकी ज्ञानमंडळ, महाराष्ट्र राज्य मराठी विश्वकोश निर्मिती मंडळ) under the State Government of Maharashtra. This initiative focuses on translating or creating new Marathi terms for advanced mathematical concepts.

Dr. Deepti Sidhaye

She is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, Savitribai Phule Pune University since 2013. Her core interests are Teaching, Research, Science Education, Communication Popularization, Creative Writing and Performance. She has completed her doctoral degree in Nanotechnology (Physics) from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. She creates and shares Educational Resources through her YouTube Channel D Creations Resources (~525 Episodes), WhatsApp Channel ‘D Creations Resources’ and Podcast ‘D Creations’ (120+ Episodes). She has written and presented several programmes for All India Radio, Akashvani and Vidyavani (107.4 FM). She has written a book titled ‘Foundations of Experimental Physics’, several research papers, columns and articles in newspaper and magazines. She has been a merit holder throughout her academic career and has received several awards. She has been part of several teaching, research, outreach and administrative activities including those at international level - both as an organizer as well as a participant. She is an aficionado of languages and is actively involved in creative writing and recitation (stories, poems, recitation, play, quizzes) in different languages.

Mr. Bhushan Milind Bhalekar

He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) from Symbiosis, with a strong interest in game design, 3D art, and digital creativity. He has successfully completed a certified course in Game Design and Development from MAAC (Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics), where he gained hands-on experience in 3D modeling, animation, and various game development tools. Over the past few years, he has worked in multiple creative and technical roles that reflect his versatility: 2012–2013: Worked at MIT College as a Social Media Marketing Executive, managing social media campaigns and content creation. 2013–2014: Worked as a 3D Artist for the “MTC World Project” at Crescendo Worldwide, contributing to animation and visualization projects. Since 2024: Joined the Center for Science Education and Communication (CSEC), Savitribai Phule Pune University, where he is currently working as an Office Trainee. In this role, he supports administrative activities, design-related tasks, and contributes to educational outreach programs.

Ayesha Khan

She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Savitribai Phule Pune University ince 2013. She has completed her doctoral studies from University of Pune and Post doctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wayne State School of Medicine, Michigan ,USA. Her current research interests include Drug designing, Microbiology and animal tissue culture.

Ms. Aboli Vishnupant Avhad

She has completed her M.Sc. in Botany from the Department of Botany, University of Pune. She brings with her 14 years of experience in both the educational and research fields, which reflects her strong academic foundation as well as practical expertise. Over the years, she has been actively engaged in environmental education programs, conducting workshops and seminars in schools to raise awareness among both students and citizens. She has also conducted teachers training programs, contributed to writing Vidnyan patrika, awareness talks on vidyavani FM 107.4, judged various projects competitions She has also worked as a Taxonomist in the Indradhanushya Environment Education and Citizenship Centre of the Pune Municipal Corporation, where she contributed to biodiversity management and conservation initiatives. Her career highlights her dedication to plant sciences, environmental education, and promoting ecological awareness in the community.
