TREE AS HABITAT

A habitat is the place where a plant or animal can get all the things it needs to survive.

From their leafy branches to their tangled roots, TREE provide a habitat for a host of plants and animals. Many animals, such as birds, squirrels, raccoons and a variety of insects, spend much of their lives in trees. Tree cavities are important nesting sites for birds and mammals. They provide them shelter from the weather and from enemies. Many insects, spiders, reptiles and even bats can be found under tree.

This Exhibit demonstrates how tree facilitates interaction between all living and non living things on and around the tree.
