The visits to department of Botany, Physics, Zoology, CDAC etc are part of the Science Camps conducted by Science Park.
It is a pond near main building. It has a rich flora and fauna. It is an exciting site to study Pond Ecosystem. The students experience and learn various aspects of ecosystem by traversing a pre-designed path around the pond.
The department has a well-built museum. It depicts the changes in flora along the geological time scale. Its special features include fossil specimen and peels, besides wet and dry specimen of the Plant Kingdom.
The Botany Department has an impressive Botanical garden, having a collection of over 490 species of 310 genera from 81 families of plants. Its special features include a collection of 22 species of palms, threatened and endangered ferns, gymnosperms, medicinal plants and plants of special botanical interest.
The Zoology Department has a museum with more than thousand preserved specimens. The scientific collections are systematically arranged.
Alice garden is located in the premises of Savitribai Phule Pune University and it is one of the well- maintained garden giving a feel of urban forest. It has a biodiverse niche containing varied number of huge trees. It also has a small pond attracting various birds.
Visit to state of the art facilities such as Scanning Electron Microscope, X-ray Diffraction, Liquid nitrogen plant, Vibrating Sample Magnetometer, X-ray electron spectroscopy, Magnetron Laboratory etc.
